Presenting Elac Debut 2 B5.2 2-Way Bass Reflex bookshelf speaker delivering up to 120 Watts of output. Improvement on the award-winning predecessor the Debut B5.2 sets a higher standard delivering a great performance from a compact size. With the 5.25" mid-bass driver and a 1" cloth dome tweeter delivering a power-packed performance the compact B5.2 carries forward the legacy of Debut B5.

Extremely satisfying and nuetral music propagation for a little speaker. On the off chance that I had a couple more creeps on my rack I would climb to the B6.2 for somewhat more grounded base however these are a superb incentive for size and cost. Night and day improvement over the JBLs they supplanted. Purchased as open box and could not see they were not new. Extremely blissful by and large.

Everything about the Elac Debut 2.0 has been improved, including completely redesigned custom drivers that deliver greater accuracy, and robust cabinets for even higher resolution and freedom from resonances.

The Elac B5.2 speakers are quite a remarkable little speaker. Full sound with the amazing bass response for something so compact is unbelievable. Crisp highs and an overall neutral and musical sound. Streaming high-resolution music, playing CD or vinyl in Debut 2.0 speakers, and have to admit the sound is phenomenal. Great surrounding speakers. Good buy choice.

Elac Debut 2.0 are amazing bookshelf speakers at a crazy low price. Using the Elac Debut B5.2 as surround sound speakers in 7.2 set up the output sound is phenomenal. The Debut B5.2 has a high-performance woofer with a 5-1/4 aramid fiber cone and a new 1 cloth dome tweeter. Frequency response is even-handed and smooth in B5.2 speakers. Notes are very clear and bass is tight. For the money, it is hard to think of anything better!

Q: What wiring do I need to connect Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 Bookshelf Speaker to a TV?
A: There is no way to know without seeing the back of your TV. An amplifier is always needed but the type of the amplifier will depend largely on what connections your television has
Q: Can I connect Debut 2.0 B5.2 Bookshelf Speaker up to my computer?
A: You cannot connect the B5.2 speaker directly. You will need an amplifier like a stereo receiver or a small desktop amp to hook up the desktop. There are two affordable amps i.e. Fosi Audio and SMSL which will connect with most computers and have a Bluetooth receiver so you can stream directly from your phone, tablet, or pc with Bluetooth.
Q: Is it easy to put a bare 16 gauge wire through the binding posts?
A: Yes, it is easy to put the bare wire through the binding ports in Elac B5.2 speakers. It was unscrewing banana clips, exposing holes through the binding posts. Strip the wire long enough to string through. Thread through, then screw posts closed till wires area unit comfortable.
Q: Will Elac Debut 2.0 be compatible with the Yamaha r-s201 receiver?
A: YesB5.2 bookshelf speakers are pretty compatible as the Yamaha rs201 will supply 150 watts per channel at 6 ohms which is the impedance of these speakers.
Q: Would the Elac B5.2 make good side surrounds?
A: Yes, B5.2 bookshelf speakers would make great surrounds. Since you are probably using them with a sub and surrounds do not have to handle much bass in the first place, they will pair very well with front towers. The old B4 speakers would not sound quite as good or rich. The new OW4.2 are an optional choice if you are looking to place one thing on the wall, and are equivalent worth as these.
Q: Any wall mounting options you would recommend for debut 2.0?
A: There are no wall mount brackets attached to these speakers. Would need to buy outboard mounting brackets that are sized for speakers and can handle the weight of Elacs debut 2.0 speaker.
Q: Would it be an issue to mount B5.2 horizontally?
A: Although B5.2 bookshelf speakers are designed to be listened to in a vertical position, if you must mount them horizontally, I would do so with the tweeters on the inside.
Q: Will 6 ohm amp work with an 8-ohm receiver (pioneer elite vsx-90 av)?
A: The max RMS input is 120 watts. Pioneer amps generally handle 6ohms very well. So, the Debut 2.0 will work with an 8ohm receiver.
Q: Can Elac 2.0 be driven with a JVC jr-s100 receiver?
A: Yes, but not at a very loud volume. The JVC JR-S100 only produces 20 watts of power per channel and the ELAC 2.0 B5.2 is rated to handle up to 120 watts. Recommend to pair these with an amp that produces between 50-100 WPC if you plan to get high volume performance without distortion.
