The X-Port helps these speakers deliver deep bass with no distortion. A highly detailed, impartial, and open sounding speaker is the Polk R200. The Polks sound open and crisp with VERY deep and powerful. Nothing tiresome can be heard in the treble region, and the mids are smooth. On records I have listened to hundreds (or more) of times, I am hearing a lot of stuff. Even at this pricing point, the fit and finish are pretty great.
